The Bathroom Battles of a Dad with Four Daughters – and How We Put an End to It

Hi, I’m Jim Moore, and I’m the father of four daughters. Now, if you’ve never had four teenage girls in the same house fighting over one bathroom, let me paint you a picture. Every morning, there was screaming, door-pounding, and arguments about who got to shower first, who was taking too long, and who had just ruined the others' morning. And me? I was the dad in the middle of it all, banging on doors and shouting through the chaos.

Every morning, the bathroom became ground zero for a full-blown shouting match. The girls would scream at each other over who got to shower first, who was taking too long, and whose turn it was next. It was a battle from start to finish, with doors slamming and voices echoing through the house. I’d find myself in the middle of it all, pounding on doors, trying to break up the chaos, but it never seemed to end. Our mornings were like a revolving door of frustration, and something had to give.

The Turning Point

One day, after what felt like the thousandth bathroom battle, I realized I needed a real solution. I couldn’t keep yelling at the girls through doors, and they clearly weren’t going to start timing themselves. That’s when the idea for the Shower Wizard started taking shape. I needed something that would take the timing out of their hands—literally.

I knew a regular shower timer wouldn’t cut it. A beep wouldn’t be enough to get them out of the shower. So, I came up with the Shower Wizard, and this shower timer would have a shut-off valve that actually stops the water when time was up. No more endless showers, no more yelling through doors, and no more waiting forever for the bathroom. When the water stops, the shower is over—simple as that.

The Solution That Worked

Once I installed the Shower Wizard, mornings got quieter. Sure, there was some grumbling at first, but they quickly got the hang of it. With the timer set, they knew exactly how long they had, and when the water stopped, well, that was that. No more negotiations, no more knocking, no more shouting over the sound of rushing water.

It was like we had finally taken back control of our mornings. The Shower Wizard brought structure, peace, and—dare I say it—sanity back into our lives.

Bringing the Solution to Others

My partner Rob Gallo and I knew this wasn’t just a solution for our families. We realized that so many parents, especially those with kids sharing a bathroom, were probably going through the same daily chaos. That’s why we decided to bring the Shower Wizard to other families who want to keep things moving, reduce water waste, and get everyone out the door on time.

Our small Michigan team is dedicated to fixing the everyday struggles that families deal with. We’re growing, learning, and working hard to bring practical solutions that make a difference, starting with the Shower Wizard.
