The Shower Wizard is the only shower timer with a built-in shut-off valve, giving you complete control over shower time. Designed to simplify your routine, save water, and reduce utility bills, the ShowerWizard is easy to install and operate. Below are detailed instructions for installation, programming, and troubleshooting.

 

 

Installation Instructions

Handle the Shower Wizard carefully to protect its micro components. Follow these steps for a seamless setup:  (it is recommended to first charge the Showerwizard for 12 hours uninterrupted).

  1. Turn Off Water Handles: Ensure the water is off before starting.

  2. Remove Existing Shower Head: Unscrew your showerhead from the shower arm.

  3. Install the ShowerWizard: Hand-tighten the ShowerWizard onto the shower arm. If needed, use a wrench gently—avoid over-tightening.

    • Position the ShowerWizard lens above the valve and keep it out of direct water flow.

  4. Reattach the Showerhead: Secure the shower head onto the ShowerWizard valve, holding the valve steady while tightening.

  5. Install the Activator Button:

    • Clean a small area on the wall near the shower entry, away from direct water.

    • Attach the included adhesive pad to the wall and press the activator firmly onto it.

 

 

Factory Settings and Quick Start

The Shower Wizard comes pre-programmed for an 8-minute shower with a 5-minute lockout period. Here’s how to use it right away:

  1. Turn on the water handles.

  2. Wait for the ShowerWizard to flash blue and green (may take up to 60 seconds).

  3. Press the activator button to start the shower cycle.

    • Green Light (First 7 Minutes): Normal operation.

    • Yellow Light (Final Minute): Prepare to wrap up.

    • Red Light (Lockout): A 5-minute pause before the next shower can begin.

Pause Function: During the shower, press the activator button to pause the timer (flashes blue). Press it again to resume.

 

 

Custom Programming Instructions

To set personalized shower and lockout times:

  1. Enter Programming Mode: Press the program button on the device, while  the lens flashes blue and green.

  2. Set Shower Time: Input a time between 1-99 minutes using the number pad. For example:

    • For a 6-minute shower, press 6, then *, followed by 6 again, and * to confirm.

    • The lens will flash green to confirm the setting.

  3. Set Lockout Time: After programming the shower time, input a lockout duration (1-99 minutes) and press OK.

Restore Factory Settings: In programming mode, press 6# to reset.

 

 

Charging the Shower Wizard

The ShowerWizard features a rechargeable battery with a 6-foot USB-C cable and a charging block. Follow these steps for efficient charging:

  • Connect the USB-C cable to the ShowerWizard and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

  • Recharge time: Approximately 12 hours.

  • Indicator Lights when unconnected, in about 60 seconds:

    • Blue and Green: Adequately charged

    • Blue and Yellow: Needs charging.

    • Blue and Red: Won’t operate until fully charged.

Tip: If your outlet is more than 6 feet away, use a high-quality USB extension cable.

        We recommend you use a ladder to unscrew the Showerwizard and bring it to an area away from water while charging to an outlet with a 2-AMP USB charger

 

 

Troubleshooting Tips

If you encounter issues, try these steps:

  • ShowerWizard Won’t Wake Up: Disconnect the charger, point the programmer at the lens, and press # followed by OK. Look for four red flashes and wait about 60 seconds.

  • Re-pair Activator Button: Press 4# and the activator button until the lens flashes green. Keep other activators away during pairing.

  • Unpair Activator Button: Press 5# and then press the activator button.

  • Factory Reset: Press 6# in programming mode.

 

 

Additional Water-Saving Ideas

  • The 4-Minute Challenge: Spend 30 seconds rinsing, press pause to lather, and resume for a 3.5-minute rinse.

  • Hot Water Prep: Turn on the bathroom sink’s hot water while brushing your teeth to heat pipes efficiently before showering.
