This works so well and has made my life so much easier. No more pounding on the bathroom door and yelling for my Son to get out of the shower and stop stealing the hot water from the family (this would happen multiple times a week). He would always respond with an 'Okay.' and then proceed to continue showering until he wanted to get out. My stress level would spike!! Drove me NUTS! But now, I don't have to do any of that. This thing is amazing!!! Our family grew overnight to the tune of 3 more showering people that spent 20 - 30 minutes each, plus a baby (it's a long story). Needless to say, when we received our electric we were floored. We have well water, so water cost wasn't the issue, but the cost to heat the water was outrages. After asking them to minimize their time in the shower so I wouldn't have to take measures into my own hands, I gave them until the next electric bill to see if things would improve. The next bill was higher! I ordered the Shower Wizard that same day and installed it the day after it was received since it had to be charged. Our next bill dropped by over 30% and I couldn't be happier. The new tenants have learned to take 7 minute showers and, although not happily, understand the benefits of the Shower Wizard :0)

This water saver is amazing! Super easy to install and even though the instructions to set up the timer looks super complicated, it’s not . Just click on two buttons. You choose however long you want to make your shower time for, and the second button sets it. I do this for a time saver more than anything since I only have one bathroom. I called customer service for assistance with setting up the timer and left a voicemail. I received a call back from the inventor and he was super nice. Since I received a call back the next day, I had already figured it out. This is a great product! The easy installation is what sold me and I am happy to report that I have had no issues with 6 people in the house using this everyday for 2 months!

Ive been searching for a while for a simple solution almost plug & play and I came across Shower Wizard it is a very well made and simple no complicated product which does what it say and I have managed to reduce the shower times my Teen boys love so much. the only thing to look out for is making sure the sensor is visible which was a little challenging hope fully the sellers/manufactures can make a few adjustments on the next version. I would definitely recommend this and be happy to purchase another in the future.

Before the Shower Wizard my teen would spend an hour in the shower. I tried to reason with him, he’d say, “I’m sorry I won’t do it again.” He would do well for a couple of days and go right back to taking long showers. We love this device.

It’s great in theory - though my kids tend to not notice the “1 min left” warming and end up having to use the “adult” shower to get the soap out of their hair. A warning beep or chime might be a good idea.

This is the best purchase I’ve made in years. My teen was draining the hot water tank daily, I was tired of cold showers and hollering through the door that time’s way past up.
I did the math on this - even with low rates (1.7 GPM shower head and around .06 / KWH for electric) our electric bill should still drop $20-25 a month just from cutting down to 10 minute showers. The ROI is better for us than a heat pump water heater, plus this also put a stop to the crazy humidity and condensation on the ceiling and around the fan.
I set the lockout time to the highest possible and my kid’s coping just fine - it helps a ton to have a hard limit. The ability to pause the water/time mid-shower with the button makes it easier - pause to suds up, unpause to rinse.
Install was easy. My only feedback is minor - the o-ring seal that came with the device is two pieces and it leaked. I swapped it out with a silicone gasket and it’s been perfect since.

Firstly, we have our water hauled in. And at one point during the holidays we had 6 people in the house. We ran out of water. We have a 2 week schedule with the haulers.
With the shower timer set at 8 minutes and 10 minute rest time, I can rest easy. The dishwasher, and clothes washer have set amounts of water used. Now so does the shower.

I really like the idea of this device, but since you have to press the button to start the timing, it is useless for my house. My teens simply don't press the start button and the shower will run indefinitely. I've tried to contact the company, but got no response.

Great build quality, very easy to install and setup. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it could really use some form of small digital readout to show the settings instead of relying on the light flashes. Looking forward to lower water and gas bills.

Works like a charm. Suddenly the kids have gone from 45+ min showers to 10 min ones. "We can't wash in 10 min..." turns out they can, they just chose not to. Of course there was a learning curve for some...but no more complaining on my part. Set it up for 10min shower with a 10 min lockout to prevent em waiting out the clock and having another shower.

Yes, this product the shower wizard works great, going to save me a lot of money so far it saved me about $100 a month just in water, and overuse on septic system. It keeps everyone in line so no more 45 minute showers great product. Also, it lasts for about two months or more on a charge with four showers a day.

Worked for 2 weeks and then needed to be recharged. Stopped working completely—no more lights and smelled of burned rubber. They offered to accept a return, but $60 shipping plus $70 in customs fees because I’m in Canada didn’t make sense. I do not recommend this product; it’s not worth it.

I bought this, because my 16 year old and 13 year old (girls) were draining my hot water heater when they come home from school and I am at work. And my water bill was roughly $190 a month!! I have had the Shower Wizard for 4 months now, and I freaking love this thing! Not only does it make my kids mad (because I can change the shower time length) it has saved me a bit of money! Got the bill this month and its $120, I can NOT complain. My dad would have loved this for me and my brothers when we were teenagers. Amazing. Lots of programing options. Super long battery life. Hasn't needed a change but shower wizard said it should last 6 months with 2 people using it. This has solved my problem with my kids staying in the shower forever!! I wish I would have bought this many years ago!

Honestly, I struggled a bit with the settings at first. Now that I have the hang of it, it’s a breeze. But my kids have had a learning curve because they went from outrageous 30 minute showers down to 15. It's the best money we have spent on any gadget to help with routines and time management. Our son actually loves it also as it helps him feel more independent. We ordered this to stop one of our kids from taking 45 minute showers. We tried using a kitchen timer and when the timer goes off, it meant time to turn the water off but she would just turn the timer off and keep going. This kicked her habit real quick! We left it set on the default settings of 8 minute showers with a 5 minute lockout and she is in and out as she should be now. The only issue we've had is sometimes it will randomly lockout after you turn on the shower and we have to reset it with the remote. No biggie but maybe look into that programming issue.

We have 4 kids on a well, as they’ve grown up we started getting into fights with lots of showers needing to happen at various times of day. The default settings were perfect for us.
